Catherine, Princess of Wales, has once again captured headlines with a major announcement about the highly anticipated family reunion for Trooping the Colour. Since her recovery, Catherine has resumed her royal duties with renewed dedication, balancing her commitment to both her family and the British public.
In keeping with royal tradition, Prince William, Princess Catherine, and their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—will take part in the iconic ceremony celebrating the official birthday of King Charles III. The event is set to take place on June 14th at 11:30 a.m.
Last year, Catherine had to step back from public engagements due to her illness, but she made a glorious return to the spotlight in May. For her first public appearance back, she and William, accompanied by their children, wore simple yet elegant white outfits with black trim and a bow at the neckline, symbolizing both grace and unity.
May has been a month of significant firsts for the Princess. She traveled to Scotland to name a Royal Navy vessel—a rare and prestigious honor that underscores her growing prominence among senior royals. At the event, she wore a nautically inspired navy blue and white coat dress by Susanna London, featuring white stripes down the middle and on the pockets. The grand parade will feature approximately 1,600 soldiers, 400 musicians, and more than 200 horses. Members of the royal family will join in, some on horseback and others riding in horse-drawn carriages.
Following the parade, senior royals will gather on the iconic Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the famed Red Arrows fly overhead. Central figures will include King Charles and Queen Camilla, who will greet crowds from the Mall. They will be accompanied by Prince William and Princess Catherine with their children, as well as the King’s brother, Prince Edward, and his wife, Duchess Sophie. It remains unclear whether their children, Lady Louise and James, will join the balcony appearance this year.
Princess Anne, the King’s sister, will also stand proudly alongside him, accompanied by her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence. Other senior royals expected on the balcony include Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, and his wife, Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester, as well as Prince Edward, Duke of Kent.
In a recent surprise visit to East London, Catherine once again demonstrated her signature blend of elegance and professionalism while touring the new V&A East Storehouse. She wore a chic navy suit by Alexander McQueen paired with a simple white T-shirt and black pumps. Although her choice of stiletto heels was not technically in line with the venue’s dress code—due to the metal grid floors—she carefully held onto the glass railing as she explored the exhibits.
V&A Director Dr. Tristram Hunt humorously remarked on her footwear choice, saying, “She is a pro—she handled it brilliantly.” Catherine’s passion for the museum’s collection was evident as she spent an extra half hour engrossed in the displays, particularly admiring a William Morris-designed screen, which prompted her to exclaim, “Wow, I love the twist here.”
