Brittany Cartwright Opens up to Tom Schwartz About Her Waitress Career Before TV Fame

Brittany Cartwright’s days before we met her on Vanderpump Rules where she took shifts at SUR were filled with memories of her working at another restaurant: Hooters. Although The Valley cast member now calls California home, she thinks fondly of her time working at the famed restaurant chain in Lexington, Kentucky when she was younger.

Vanderpump Rules alum, Tom Schwartz, recently had Brittany on his podcast, where they talked about her time working at the restaurant (more on that down below). In order to celebrate this momentous occasion, Tom took to his Instagram Story where he posted a throwback photo of Brittany wearing her uniform, while she still worked there. In the photo, Brittany can be seen with some bright blonde hair, wearing a black Hooters tank top, adorned with her Hooter’s name tag on it as she gave a slight smile in the super cute selfie.

“Lolll Hooters flashback,” she wrote over the photo, tagging Tom on top of it.

Brittany had previously shared several throwback photos from that time in her life. In the photos, Brittany can be seen wearing her black and white Hooters tank tops, rocking a side part, while smiling in the camera at work.

Brittany Cartwright opens up about her connection to Hooters

During Part 2 of the Uncensored and Extended The Valley Season 2 reunion, host, Andy Cohen asked The Valley cast members if they were “upset that Hooters is going out of business.” “Yes,” Brittany said.

“We all are, actually,” Zack Wickham replied.

“But the majority of them have closed,” Brittany noted.

“They’re restructuring, actually,” Brittany’s ex-husband, Jax Taylor, added.

Brittany Cartwright describes her dream career move

During Part 2 of the reunion, Brittany admitted that she would love to own her own Hooters one day. “I wish I could buy one, honestly,” Brittany said. “Yeah, I might.”

Brittany reiterated this idea when she appeared on Tom’s podcast earlier this week. “I would love to own one, one day,” she said. “Like, a girl can dream.”

Brittany Cartwright reflects on her time working at Hooters

Hooters means a lot to Brittany. Brittany and Jax served Hooters wings to the guests at their 2019 wedding. And in 2018, Brittany was inducted into the Hooters Hall of Fame.

During her appearance on Tom’s podcast, Brittany reflected on her time working at the restaurant before she moved out to California. “Some of my very best friends that I still have to this day, I met at Hooters,” she explained. “It was like a sorority almost. Like those are my sisters.”

“Yeah, I mean, that was a very good paying job for me,” she added. “I mean, I don’t know, I just loved it. I have like, no ill will ever towards Hooters.”
