Scheana Shay Told Herself She Deserved To Be Cheated On
Scheana Shay recently released her new book, My Good Side, which is a tell-all about her life. The Vanderpump Rules star gets down to the nitty gritty of her time in the spotlight. She details the effects fame has had on her life. Shay revealed that while many fans were focused on Scandoval, she learned that her husband, Brock Davies, had cheated on her. Scheana Shay Blames Herself For Her Husband’s Infidelity
The year is 2023, and the world is focused on the cheating scandal between Tom Sandoval, Rachel Leviss, and Ariana Madix. At the time, the Vanderpump Rules cast was the focus of a major media movement. It was very stressful for the cast members. To make matters worse for Scheana Shay, it was at this same time that she learned that her husband, Brock Davies, had been unfaithful.
Scheana Shay learned that at the time of Brock Davies’ infidelity, she was pregnant with their daughter, Summer. The affair occurred two years prior to the Scandoval incident. In her new book, My Good Side, Shay, 40, revealed that she felt fans would place judgment on her and say she deserved to be cheated on because of her prior affair with Eddie Cibrian. Scheana states,
“It really felt like I got my karma. Did I deserve for [Brock to cheat on me]? No, but I told myself that I did.”
Vanderpump Rules Star Details Her Recovery From Infidelity
Scheana Shay expressed that learning about Brock Davies cheating on her felt like a slap to her face. She struggled to remain calm; however, she realized the situation was not cut and dry. Shay said she considered walking away at the time the affair was revealed, but she felt she needed to consider her daughter before making any decisions. Scheana said Brock told her about his infidelity because he was worried it would be leaked to the press with all of the attention on the Vanderpump cast due to Scandoval. In addition, Shay says she blamed herself for her husband’s affair.
Scheana reveals that with the help of couples therapy and solo therapy, she was able to heal from her experience. The reality star explained:
“It takes work every single day. I will forever have insecurities. Just the other day, I saw him swipe and delete a text, and I’m like, “What was that?” And he’s like, “Seriously, Scheana?” But I genuinely believe he would never do anything like that again. I do trust him. I have forgiven him. … We’ve put in the work in couples therapy. We have a very open line of communication. I want to show people that if you truly love someone, a mistake from their past doesn’t have to define the future of your relationship.”
Scheana Shay and her husband, Brock Davies, are still married and continue to take active steps to improve their relationship.
